Bowled over by Excess

The initial college football bowl games of the season have already been played. Thus, the deluge of 34 mostly meaningless matches has been unleashed. As a fan of Division 1-A college football, I must ask: WHY?!

I wonder if anyone else remembers when securing a bowl bid served as validation of a successful season. A large number of this year’s bowl participants never even made a cameo appearance in any of the three most widely cited top 25 opinion polls. Since the expansion of the regular season to twelve games, teams with the same number of losses as wins annually qualify for bowl games. Some of those teams plus others with 7-5 records only achieved that modicum a success by defeating team from the Division 1-AA level.

KFC Fried Chicken Recipe

KFC’s fried chicken recipe has long been held a secret since Colonel Sanders invented it in the 1930s. To this date, the special blend of 11 herbs and spices is still kept top secret at KFC’s headquarters. The secret 11 herb blend is actually premixed at two separate facilities and then combined at a third location. Phew!

KFC also uses pressure cookers and a special batter to fry their chicken in, giving it that super crispy, and tasty texture.

Don’t worry though! I will now reveal to you now how to make your own KFC Fried Chicken at home so that you can save money and astonish your friends!

You will need the following ingredients for your KFC Fried Chicken Recipe:

1 tbs sage leaves (powdered) 1 tsp dry ginger (powdered) 1 tbs rosemary leaves (crushed) 1 pack of tomato soup mix 1 tbs oregano leaves (crushed) 1 tsp sweet marjoram 1 tsp pepper 1 tsp hot pepper powder 1 whole raw chicken cut into frying pieces 1 1/2 teaspoon wild thyme leaves

How To Build An Outhouse

Those of us who are privileged to reside in cities and towns with running water, continuous electricity and indoor plumbing tend to take these things for granted.  City folks think of an outhouse as a hillbilly’s second home in the outback when in fact a significant number of people living in the world do not have basic amenities.  As such, they rely on these facilities for daily survival.  In the event you have to venture to a place where indoor plumbing is just a concept, don’t fret too much.  You can easily read up on how to build an outhouse as an alternative to using the running waters of nature.

Check out the areas surrounding the house.  When choosing a location for an outhouse, there should be adequate privacy and preferably not within hearing or smelling distance.  Ensure your chosen site is as far away as possible from all water sources to avoid pollution due to seepage in to the soil.  No amount of precaution and ground lining can alleviate
